Michael Benenati LAST RIDE

Michael Benenati started working at All American while he was still in High School with a dream of becoming a professional Harley-Davidson technician. Michael worked thru the summer after he graduated, learning all that he could, then headed off to Motorcycle Mechanics Institute in Florida for a year of training so he could return to us and realize his goals.

We stayed in touch during his time at MMI- texts, conversations, visits when he was home on break, and a couple of us visited him in FL also; he was family, and we were looking forward to having him back. A member of the All American family, Michael Benenati, was taken from us far too young.

On Saturday, June 24, many bikers escorted Michael Benenati on a last ride to his final resting place. We want to send special thanks to the many members of All American HOG who came out to show support as we joined hundreds of others in escorting Michael Benenati on a last ride to his final resting place. A few chapter members had met him, but most had not, yet they heard he was coming home to join us as a technician, and I had requested that all go out of their way to make him feel welcome. Instead, he was tragically taken from us just one day after that announcement. Our prayers go out to his family and many loved ones, and he will always be in our hearts.

All American HOG is #1.

All American HOG is #1.

That’s not just us saying that; it is Harley-Davidson! In the Harley-sponsored Ride 365 Challenge for this past year, AAHOG logged more miles than any other chapter in the Mid-Atlantic region; 639,077 miles, just in 2022! We now have a plaque in the lounge at AAHD to commemorate that win, and we have a patch for every member that participated in logging their miles last year! We had 24 members with over 10,000 and we had 42 members under 5,000 miles but with only 85 of our 350 members logging miles we still came in first!

If we could get another 100 members involved, regardless of mileage per member we could easily crack one million miles! No matter how much or how little you ride, if you are AAHOG and you haven’t already registered your mileage this year, get over to All American HD today and get your bike miles logged so you can be part of getting us to over One Million miles this year!

Now let’s celebrate our win! Come on down to All American Saturday, July 15 as we toast our win. If you were one of the winning Ride 365 riders, we have one of these VERY limited edition patches for you, and if you weren’t part of the win for 2022, let's get you signed up for ‘23- it’s free and, it’s easy, and One Million All American HOG miles really does have a nice ring to it!! Let's go get that next patch.
